Paris!!

Paris weekend may 8

Paris, Ooh la la! This morning was Crazy! We got up at 7:30 a little later then we had anticipated. Dani and I slept down in the common room last night because we were scared. The ghost sighting is becoming an exhausting epidemic. Dani and I ran up to our room got our bags and headed out the door with Courtney and Emily. Our spirits were high as we stepped into the van and headed to Grandthem. We exchanged money while in town and had a nice cup of coffee and a muffin. We then took a little walk to the train station and received our ticket stamp and boarded our first train. Little did we know, we would be boarding plenty of trains. As we made our way to kings cross-station we were confused on how to get our connection train. Well it turns out nothing is as simple as it seems. We had to board a under ground metro to get to the next train that would head to the airport. We finally got to our right train and were relieved. It was 12:00 and our plane left at 4:00 so we felt like we had plenty of time. The man on the train told us we had to see terminal 5 because it had food and it was really nice. We had time so we figured we would, even though our terminal was 4. We went terminal 5 and it was nothing special, it just looked like a regular terminal. We did however find a great pub. I had my first experience with fish and chips. It was good but really greasy. I feel like most of the food in England consists of carbs, I miss my salads. Our waitress was really slow but she was nice. We ended the lunch at 2:00 and we were getting a little nervous. We asked a bunch of people how to get to terminal 4 but they all said different things. We hopped on a bus and proceeded to terminal 4 it was already 2:50. We ran up and asked a Delta airline person how to get to Air France. She asked what time left and we told her 4:00. She then told us that it was in terminal 4 and we were going to miss out flight. My Body felt numb right when she said that. We frantically ran down the sidewalk, the bus to terminal 2 pulled away and I wanted to cry! Panicked, I went up tot a man and asked him what to do. He pointed to the train and suggested we take the train. We sprinted to the train and made it just in time. The ticket man asked us if we were ok and we explained the problem. It was now 3:15 and we had not even checked in. The ticket man told us we were fine and a Stewarts for that flight was on the train. She smiled at us and said; “don’t worry girls I will help you out, im working on that flight.” She was truly a god sent. She helped us check in and get to our terminal. We settled on the plane and everyone was talking French, it was cool, but confusing. We landed and hopped on the metro to our hotel. It was so nice to arrive at the hotel and settle down, we were moving all day. We were all tired and cranky. After I showered we left our hotel and got some food and wine. The wine was really good! We met French boys and they loved us. It was so much fun! We went back to the hotel and passed out. This day felt like the longest day of my life, but it was so worth it!
